Twitter has evolved from simple textually hashtagged tweets with mentions to multimedia tweets. Now, tweets may include photos, a video, a location, a gif & even a poll. Here’s a quick infographic guide about tweet character limits.
The microblogging platform has changed the character limits for a tweet. So, I’ve updated the infographic which now illustrates that adding photos, a video, a location, a gif or a poll to a tweet still allows you to write a tweet of 280 characters. Note that historically, the length of a tweet was 140 characters. The move from 140 to 280 characters created a lot of debate as any major change on Social Media platforms.
